I speak with trees. They speak back.
They share insight and counsel with me about my own life and about the multiverse of global challenge.
They really want to help us humans in this time, and they are calling out to offer their wise, profound Counsel. I am their conduit. And I help others to access their Counsel too.
The Trees are Calling. Calling us home to ourselves, to each other and Mother Nature.

I'm a Empowerment Coach, Nature Connection Facilitator
and Healer.
I can guide you on an inward journey of exploration helping you tap into the intelligence and knowing you already hold inside your mind, body, emotions & intuition.
I am Ambassador to the Trees and can help you access the extraordinary healing and wisdom which exists with the Trees
and in Nature.
You are invited into a deeper relationship of respect, gratitude and reciprocity with yourself, others & the natural living world.
I bring my unique gifts and natural talents to help you embrace, empower, and embody yours.
I have formal training in embodied coaching, facilitation, reiki, aromatherapy, systemic/family constellations, Bach flower essences and parts-work.
I weave my offerings with the experience of my own journey of healing from childhood trauma and personal pathway of empowerment which is rooted in Nature and the Trees.

The trees tell me there is much wisdom & support for us in Nature - the voices of all the other beings are available to us if we could just slow down a little and learn to listen & hear in a different way - with our innate & embodied intelligence, with our hearts, and with all our senses.
I am called to re-connect people to the natural world and the self as a wild being of nature - to build sovereignty & stewardship for self, the land & Nature.

About Clare
Clare is passionate about trees, and the other-than-human beings we share this beautiful planet with. She is often found sitting under a tree or down by the river in contemplation.
Clare believes there is intelligence in the natural world that can help us solve the social, ecological & other challenges we face in these times.
She is dedicated to helping others connect with this intelligence that exists in Nature, and inside themselves.
She acts as Ambassador for the Trees, who are calling us into a deeper relationship of respect and reciprocity with ourselves, each other and the earth.
Clare lives in West Wales on an organic, off-grid one planet smallholding with her family in an eco-house they built themselves.
Growing food for themselves and the local community, managing the land for the benefit of the local ecology & wildlife.
Living each day, in deep connection with natural living world, in rhythm with the cycle of the seasons & trying to live lightly on the earth.

My Journey to TreeWise
Let me tell you a story.

Once upon a time,
​
I would go and sit inside a hollow 1500-year-old Oak tree on the land where I lived in
Devon - you had to crawl in under the roots. Once in you could stand up. I would
sometimes meditate here & hide from the world. It was so very special.
​

One day, devastated by some dreadful news about the latest destruction of Amazon,
I went to this tree, and cried inside, wailing, what is it that I can do to change our world?
​
To my great surprise a voice inside my head answered me - it wasn’t my voice - it said
‘You are to be ambassador to life, ambassador for the trees, the voice of nature’.
​
What the heck? - A tree is talking to me? This was the first time, ever this had happened to me.
​
Use and repurpose the poem in Speaking as Earth
How the heck will I do that, I pondered.
​
The next year I moved to Wales, having bought a piece of land to develop an eco smallholding.
One day the old oak trees
​
It’s taken me about seven years of process & much sitting with
the trees as mentors - to get brave enough and figure out just how I’m to do that.
TreeWise is the result.​​​​​​​​

How can you be an Ambassador for Life?​
I believe we each have a unique gift to offer, our very own brand of brilliance, our very
own role to play as Ambassador for Life. It will have a flavour completely unique to you.
It doesn't need to be brash or grand or loud, but you do need to be bold.

No, we don’t know what our future holds. It is incredibly distressing to see what is happening in our
world and we can feel so disempowered & helpless. It is easy to question whether we can make any difference.
It’s a totally reasonable response to feel grief, anger, overwhelm, anxiety, despair, numbness even.

Yes, we CAN face this together
​
We can start to imagine and work for the more beautiful future our hearts hope is possible, together.
​
I know for sure that I am, you are, just one of many that feel concern for our future.

About Clare - the founder of TreeWise​

Living in a tranquil river valley in West Wales on an organic, off-grid one planet smallholding
with my family, I am on the land, in touch with nature on a daily basis and live in deep
connection to the cycle of the seasons & the rythmn of the natural world.

Who am I?​​​​​​​​​​​
​​Over the years, I have often ruminated on this very question. Who am I to..?
A question based in fear of judgement, in fear of being seen.
​
And yet, I have always been a changemaker. I have always tried to walk my talk.
​
All that I offer with TreeWise is an offering borne from my own experience & learnings.

also helped me on my own journey.

No longer will I keep my voice silent, and, actually, who am I not to use my voice &

I’ve dedicated my whole adult life to making a positive difference in the world.
This decision is informed by listening to Imagine by John Lennon, on repeat, aged 12.
I’ve worked and volunteered for environmental, community, local food, social justice and conservation
charities & organisations. I’ve also trained and worked as a healer, therapist & group facilitator
​
I am a pioneer in the one-planet-development movement in Wales
With my husband I’ve created a low-impact, off-grid, self-sustaining residential smallholding.
We’ve built an eco-home, created a market garden selling organic fruit, veg & apple trees. We’ve
planted nearly 3000 trees and developed our site and business in a way that supports biodiversity.
​
I was a member of the core Solar Century team, under Jeremy Leggett,
which successfully lobbied UK Government to launch a solar grants scheme – so I
played a key role in the solar revolution in the UK.
I worked with Clare Dubois in the early days of TreeSisters
supporting her as she began this inspirational charity foresting the tropics and empowering female leadership.
I was part of the mid-wive team – helping to bring the TreeSisters map of feminine leadership into being.
With Nadia Hillman I co-ran Grofun
a social enterprise in Bristol setting up allotments in inner city primary schools & teaching kids how
to grow food​​​​​
